THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

June 20th, 2009

(No pun intended)

June 2009

Well….Pug Angel volunteers have had three incredibly successful trade shows, Barks by the Bay in Trenton, Barkham in Markham and of course, Woofstock. The other events we will be doing during the summer areĀ  Gay Pride, Niagara Dogfest and Todmorden Mills.

Unfortunately, because of the economy, both the Sportsmen Show and All About Pets, were sparsely attended this year. Hopefully, there will be a turnaround for these shows.

We have been adding to our “items for sale” list and our new tote bags, t-shirts and bracelets are all selling well. The favorite item seems to be our tote bags where for a mere $6.00, dog lovers can make a statement just by carrying one of our bags indicating they are against puppy mills and are environmentally concerned as well.

In addition, to Tejas Animal Refuge, we have added two new rescue organizations to support with our donated funds. Details will be posted shortly.

Once again, we are busily thinking of new ideas to raise funds. Our next fundraiser will not be until April and the theme will be Songkran or Thai New Year. During Songkran, the celebrations include lots of water spraying, but it is really a fun time …… I know I have been sprayed more than once.

Our Launch

August 1st, 2008

Well I would like to thank everyone for waiting for the launch of our website. It has taken a while to get here but we are finally up on the web.
Thanks to Monica for her patience designing our website. Also big thanks to Charlene for her artistic flair designing our logo.

Between everyone’s busy schedule, it was a little hard coordinating everything. Then when it got closer to launching everything we would find another typo or small thing to fix.

I know to some out there you have been waiting since March or April. Being a non profit organization it was hard to find someone that would do it for little or no money. But through one of our board contacts we got the right person. So to those that have been waiting for the past several months. Thank you for your patience.

So browse through our website, make a donation if you can and keep coming back so you can find out about any upcoming events we will be doing.
